So there was a silver lining to all the Miami nonsense. While getting lost at every turn, I also got lost in a fantastic book....hyuck hyuck hyuck. Forgive me a royal chuckle. Anyway, while still in Jacksonville I bought copy of the New Yorker and plucked The Night Circus from the shelf of the gift shop. I never even cracked the cover of that New Yorker.
This is the kind of story that I crave. Magical, fantastic, but never cheesy. Erin Morgenstern paints such a lush picture of the circus, and okay, maybe she does go a bit crazy with the adjectives occasionally, but we all have our faults.
I'm a voracious reader. If I love a story, I'm completely consumed by it and have a really hard time putting it down. Luckily, this trip gave me plenty of uninterrupted reading time, and I enjoyed every second of it.
P.S. This book literally has like, one swear word in it if you're trying to keep it PG.
